Saturn transits speak about a time of where you might encounter difficulties. These lessons are meant to help you grow as an individual, and help us as a collective learn lessons in order to evolve.
It’s a time where restrictions will occur, especially if we do not have a plan or are not putting in the right amount of effort for the right purpose. This also applies to nations and government leaders.
Saturn entering Aries is starting another 28-29 year cycle where power and authority is redefined.
Here’s what 2025 has in store for us on a global scale and in our individual lives.

What happened when Saturn was in Pisces?
Saturn typically stays in a sign for 2.5 years. What has happened for the past 2.5 years?
Saturn, a planet of structure, discipline and slow hard work, was in Pisces, an emotional, sensitive and free-loving sign. There was disillusionment regarding our structures, with a need to embrace some flexibility regarding areas we’re rigid in.
This could also be a time when we realize not all hard work is paid off, and sometimes things just don’t go according to plan. Sometimes you’ll expect plans to go a certain way, but the universe shows you a different path instead. It was a time to let go of the past that no longer aligned, for we will learn a lot more.
Saturn in Pisces was also depicting structures falling to universal beliefs, even beyond of our physical reality. It was a time of restructuring towards universal laws or maintaining them. One incident was the New Zealand Maori rights bill where Maori party lawmaker Hana-Rawhiti Maipi-Clarke led a haka ceremonial dance in Parliament, while thousands of marchers were protesting government policies over a 9-day journey. Tradition stands and if you don’t respect the ones you impose yourself on who have been here long before your time, people will not keep quiet even if it’s towards authority. People are realising that power is within, in their own hands, with the backing of unseen forces (ancestral, culture, heritage).
What will happen when Saturn moves into Aries?
It enters Aries on May 25 2025, retrograding back into Pisces on 13 July 2025, then re-entering Aries only in 14 Feb 2026 until 14 April 2028. What will happen during this period in Aries?
Saturn is considered to be in its ‘fall’ here in Aries. While Aries likes to charge at things, seemingly impulsive, Saturn needs to know there is a plan in place before taking action. Even taking time to do up the plan slowly and ensuring everything is covered before moving on to the next step. This means that while we are going to take charge and initiate things more, it will be slow moving with a planned approach.
This also speaks about possible change in structure regarding societal conditioning. We are giving new meaning to what structure really is for ourselves. This could be stepping into our own leadership roles, or questioning those in authority, possibly changes in leadership and governance. There will be balance needed between ambitions and responsibilities.
We may also feel restricted towards what we want to achieve or do, by authority figures and those in power. Questioning their true intentions, whether it’s really steering us towards the greater good or for their own benefit. We will want to shake up the ‘balance’ in ways that were seemingly ‘as per the norm’. It’s not about having things as status quo anymore but couragingly penetrating through everything and discovering for ourselves what our truth is.
