The Sun has entered Capricorn marking the start of the Winter Solstice, which is widely also celebrated as the Sun’s Rebirth, especially in Pagan times.

What does a Winter Solstice mean?

Especially in western tropical astrology, it’s the moment the Sun enters Capricorn at exactly 0 degrees. This happened on 21st December, 11:03pm Singapore time and 10:03pm Thailand time.

It marks the start of when the nights become shorter and days become longer, especially in the northern hemisphere. During the pagan days it’s celebrated as the rebirth of the sun. Also known as Yule, after having ‘survived’ the winter. In many ancient traditions it’s a potent time to reflect and welcome hope into one’s life, marking new beginnings.

Especially since Capricorn is a cardinal sign, one of taking action and enacting changes, building foundations so strong that you’ll be able to get to where you want to be. Toughing it out so that your achievements aren’t ‘luck’ but due to pure effort.

It’s a time to acknowledge that what was dark will start to turn into light. It’s from the darkness that we can savour and appreciate the light. Even in darkness, growth has started.

With all the transits that are happening with the sun entering Capricorn, slowly but surely, alignment to your highest path will be achieved.
