What are Annual Profections?
‘Annual Profections’ is a predictive technique used to show the general theme in one’s life in a particular year.
Each year is associated with each house and happening on a 12-year cyclic basis. The events can vary widely depending on one’s birth chart. It’s dependent on the following:
- Planets in the house
- Houses of the planets they rule
- Ruler of that activated house
- Position of the ruler of that activated house
- Aspects of the activated planets and houses
So while years 0, 12, 24 etc are houses on one’s self, you must also look at where the ruler of your rising is. Then also look at what planets are in your first house.
If your first house ruler is in the 7th house, it could also activate 7th house themes. It will also activate the 7th house planets and all the aspects.
Everyone starts off at 0. From the day you were born to your birthday (0 year old to 1 year old), you’re in the first place (or house) profection year. Once you’ve passed your first birthday, you’re on to the second place profection year (1 year old to 2 years old). Only after you’ve passed your second birthday will you go into the third place profection year (2 years old to 3 years old), and so on.
Theme of the year may activate other houses
Of course, not everyone born in the same year or having the same annual profection place will experience the same theme exactly but that yearly theme will have an effect to a certain extent.
Planetary movements will also change every single day, let alone the year. So transits to the highlighted place and planets deposited there as well as rulers of the place will be activated.
Further delineations are also used to read one’s annual profection year and the events that will happen. Monthly profections, use of LOF and LOS.
