This Capricorn Full Moon will be happening on 11 July 2025, 18 Degrees 50 minutes in Capricorn. It’s especially important if you have any Aries, Cancer, Libra, Capricorn placements, and if at 15 to 21 degrees. While challenging for the cardinal signs, it’s favourable for the earth signs, Taurus, Virgo, Capricorn. Or if you have any placements in those signs at 15 to 21 degrees.

So for Capricorn placements, this will depend heavily on what planets you have in Capricorn and their dignities. It could be both helpful and challenging.

Capricorn

Earth. Cardinal. Able to initiate change. Focuses on external achievements. Practical. Hard worker. Takes things step by step, and gets things done no matter what it takes. Builds things from the ground up, doesn’t take short cuts. Believes in strong foundations.

Moon in Capricorn

The moon doesn’t like to be in this sign. It’s considered detriment here. The moon wants to express and show emotions but being in Capricorn it’s almost stone cold. Unable to express one’s own needs, emotions or show vulnerability. Not that Capricorn moons don’t feel anything. But they don’t really want to deal with it, so they just let it brew inside them. They would much rather focus on their goals and work towards it than deal with anything emotional. They are more practical, focusing on long term visions than minor short term setbacks. This will then translate into them focusing on career goals and achievements.

Full Moon in Capricorn

This speaks about a culminating cycle of societal and career goals, as well as whichever house you have Capricorn in. There will be a final burst of energy that illuminates the house in which you have Capricorn in, before letting go of it. Possibly letting go of a current goal that you have for yourself that could be career related, or just plans that have been in the works for a long period of time. It could even be letting go of certain responsibilities at work, or a complete career change.

It’s due to a spark of realisation in us where we realise how our efforts or focus towards the outer world has been overly committed to. Thus we’re now letting go of that. Especially if you’ve been pushing too hard that you’re at a breaking point. Or have been neglecting other aspects of your life. It’s time to let go of some of those responsibilities and plans that you have fixated on.

It’s also about releasing what we have subscribed to, in the way we process (or not process) deep emotions in order to ‘feel safe’. When in fact it was restricting us from growth. To release certain stoic behaviours that have allowed us to deal with everything else but emotions within.

This is also the period in which we are releasing external pursuits and goals. Coming back into feeling at one with our emotional needs and emotional self. Whether it’s finally attaining a goal and thus releasing the structures needed to get there, or finally aligning and balancing one’s emotional needs with material/external pursuits.

Aspects (Influences)

Ruler of Capricorn, Saturn is currently in Aries conjunct retrograde Neptune. It’s making a positive aspect to retrograde Pluto in Aquarius and Uranus in Gemini. It’s considered its fall placement in Aries. As much as we want to persevere and push on, to chase and assert ourselves, we’re restricted, met with boundaries and even harsh lessons.

Confronting Delusions

Retrograde Neptune is going to turn its energy inward, pushing us to reflect on what delusions we have been having. This could be regarding our own identity, friends we have, our career, our hopes and wishes or towards how we have been taking action.

After reflecting on these illusions, there will be a transformation where we’ll make necessary changes. This could be in the way we communicate with the involved parties, the way we go about our daily lives or even routines and habits that we have adhered to. All of which may seem external, but with that change, we may feel lightened by whatever we have released, allowing us to move forward and know that we have resolved certain emotional wounds from whatever that was.

Re-Evaluating Career Goals and Path

It’s also a time when a lot of us are going to be re-evaluating what we truly want our career to be. How it has affected our sense of self, our identity, hopes and wishes we have had for our career as well as friends that may have been affected by it.

Trust In Not Knowing

This full moon is also making a positive aspect to the nodal axis in Pisces and Virgo. What we may be releasing may be scary at first. We may have been putting in the work, being practical in all aspects and then be met with something unforeseen. Almost as though we’re breaking a routine that has long been a part of our lives. But with the North Node in Pisces, we’re to trust the process, to trust that everything will work out for the better.

Bonus: Evolutionary Input

On an evolutionary note, every planet has a north and south node. Those that are living and breathing here, all have heavy planetary north and south nodes in Capricorn/Cancer.

With that in mind, this Capricorn full moon is going to affect us on a collective scale. Patriarchy to matriarchy. People in positions of power, men specifically, may be released from their positions. Societal constructs that the world has been adhering to will be challenged by each and every individual.

A newfound way of being will be present. We’re getting more in touch with our roots and not what society wants us to do or be. We’re being more aware of what we truly need in ourselves first, before going out there to show ourselves and actively pursue our own aligned path. Some may even realize that one’s own aligned path has nothing to do with the external world and instead focus on private/homely matters.

With Saturn, ruler of this Capricorn full moon in your 12th house of subconscious and isolation, to instead take time off everything and be by yourself. To deal with any delusions you have about hopes and wishes you may have had, that could also be related to your career. This may have been unnoticeable for a period of time but during this full moon you will be more aware of it.

You’re being pushed to release certain circumstances whether it’s others relying on you for monetary support or you relying on others. To instead focus on your own resources, and possibly learn from friends how to better manage your own finances. Or to realize that your splurging isn’t actually helping you feel emotionally secure, to find out what your definition of material stability is, how to use money wisely and how you can utilise it in a more meaningful way.

This could also speak about releasing societal ways in which it’s expected of you to share finances with others or your spouse, to come back into yourself and ask yourself what your inner values are about it. Or your partner may actually be affecting your higher self, limiting your need to actively pursue things that you want to do. May help to ask yourself if what you aim to achieve is really doable or just delusions. May help to take a long distance trip and expand your horizons.

Could also potentially speak of open enemies at work that have been impacting your career path. As Jupiter is still in your 1st house of self, you’ll be able to get through any difficulties they pose. But it’s a time to not nitpick on every single thing and to allow things to flow naturally.

It’s a period where you’re redefining who and what you want in a spouse. This is apart from how society expects of it. You’re realising you have different values that you seek in a partnership. Releasing those of which aren’t what you truly need in another.

It’s time to let go of some structures and routines that you have in your daily life, especially the ones that are  restricting you from expanding your horizons. While they may be logical or practical, they could be restricting your sense of drive and passion for life. Try letting things be, instead of having that routine in place. Let things come as they do instead of adhering to a specific schedule.

If you’ve been piling up your daily routine, not leaving space for yourself to breathe, actually put some downtime in, where you have space to just be. You may be losing a certain part of those mentioned in order to feel emotionally secure. This could even mean losing a romance that may not be working out anymore, or certain structures you have had in place regarding that romance. It may no longer take you 5 years before you fully commit but realise you’re ready to take things to the next level, even before those limitations you have set for yourself. Or you may finally realise you should no longer project your insecurities of yourself onto your romantic interest or on your children. To instead allow them to be and learn their own way through life.

Your practical approach to these topics may also be loosening, allowing yourself to let loose and have a little fun along the way. Whether it’s being open to whatever makes you happy, or releasing some of the ideals you have expected of yourself, your romantic interest or your children.

It may no longer be in your current environment, maybe shifting to a different neighbourhood or moving into another house. It may even be as simple as letting go of some furniture that society thinks you need in a home, but not necessarily what makes you feel as though it represents your version of a home.

You may be releasing certain attachments to these topics, especially if they have been in place for a long time. A realisation of what you truly need instead of how society expects you to perform at home, the house you live in and the relationship with your family/parents. It may even be something as simple as releasing ways in which you feel emotionally secure through your home

It’s time to truly define what those areas mean for you and how you want it to look like or be. Saturn is currently in your 7th house of spouse and of others. Is it so that you can grow in social standing and appear as though you’ve achieved the level your peers have? Or for you to spend it on your sense of adventure for the world of experiences and expansion of your horizons?

You may be redefining your relationship to money. Society expects you to have a certain amount of wealth at a certain age. But is that what you truly value and believe in? Maybe your material wealth is dependent on another instead of you focusing on your own? It’s time to release what you have been made to believe and figure out your own relationship to money.

Capricorn Rising

This full moon is happening in your 1st house of self.

Have you been focusing on building your sense of identity through your environment in order to feel emotionally secure? Or have you been focusing on your sense of self, constantly chasing goals that you have set for yourself instead of asking yourself what you need to feel safe?

The people you meet, your family members, areas of your home, are all going to challenge your identity. Who are you beneath what society expects of you that you have aligned yourself wholeheartedly with? What do you truly need, apart from materiality and social status in order to feel more like yourself?

This period is pushing you to release certain identity characteristics and values that you have built upon yourself. For you are seeing how others who may not necessarily be ‘doing as well as you’, actually ‘feel and look’ as though they are. This is because on the inside they truly are, apart from external validations. This will then spark a change in your daily routines, your emotional security and inner values.

It may also be a period in which you’re shedding an identity in order to mesh better with your spouse or others. This isn’t exactly giving up a part of yourself but rather because you’re acknowledging that the old way in which you have been identified with is no longer in your highest good and thus shedding that old identity in order for you to grow, maybe even towards being more emotionally mature.

Are there habits or routines that you have been doing that aren’t actually serving your highest good? Or are there deep unconscious behaviours that you know are not what you’re aligned with but still do anyway? This is the time to release them and get more in touch with your true self.

It’s also the time in which you’re questioning what you have been believing about societal norms. Beliefs of society as a whole and how you are  actually different from what many believe to be ‘right’ but have subjected to because it was what was expected of you. Thus releasing those and coming back into yourself, being able to work more truthfully in your daily life.

Pisces Rising

Have you been too easy going that the friends you make are taking advantage of you? Or have your own hopes and wishes for yourself posed unnecessary restrictions on how you’re spending your money? Or have you been comparing yourself to friends who may appear to be successful in their respective careers thus giving you pressure on your own finances?

This may be the time where you realise your friends may be causing you more harm than good. Releasing some of those friendships and focusing on what truly makes you happy. It may also be a time where your own hopes and wishes for yourself or your career could be more prominent. Where you’re not truly aligned with it anymore and thus coming back into yourself and your own inner values.
