It’s Time.

It’s time for me to speak about something I’ve experimented on with clear results. Of which I haven’t learnt from books and isn’t taught anywhere else.

Since starting these astrology readings, I’ve been asked if I do houses, especially since I have an interior design background. And the answer back to them was always no, I don’t. But when the universe gives you hints, you become aware and take note. Not just once, twice or thrice, numerous times.

So in 2024 when I turned 35, and was looking for my own place to stay, I started to ask questions that no one seems to have an answer to. Where should I stay that’s good for me? I couldn’t find answers from other esoteric systems. While Feng Shui only analyses the physical environment of the house you’re interested in. It doesn’t tell me if the area that I’m staying in is actually going to be good for me. According to my unique birth chart details, my own lessons in life.

Since then, I started experimenting to see if western astrology can be applied to houses and not in the way Astrocartography does it.

Astrocartography is a western astrology technique that uses your birth details to see which countries and cities in the world are good for you. Whether it’s to relocate for work or to potentially call your new home, or even for travels. But in the context of Singapore, where it’s both a country and a city, it’s too small a space to use the Astrocartography technique.

Now with clear results, there is indeed a way to see if the area you’re staying at is good for you.

Results that speak of where you should stay in Singapore for maximum potential upside.

No this isn’t Feng Shui nor the study of Singapore’s landscape. While Singapore’s landscape does come into play, it’s not the way Feng Shui studies it. This isn’t based on the external environment, your floor plan or your door’s facing etc. This definitely isn’t based on your Gua number or sitting position.

This is based on your unique birth details. If anything, this should be done before you do a Feng Shui analysis of your shortlisted houses. Why? Feng Shui uses mainly the landscape of your selected house. It then studies the physical environment and the floor plan of the house. The environment could be the best in Singapore, but is it the best for you? If a particular landscape in Singapore fits all 6.11 million people in Singapore, is that truly considered a ‘fit’? Everyone has different birth charts, different requirements, different lessons, different beneficiaries. The ‘mould’ doesn’t fit every single one of us.

How did Residential Site Selection start?

I started experimenting with this as a tool to see where I should personally stay in Singapore back in 2024, when I turned 35, the age where singles can apply for a HDB. It started with close friends and family’s charts as examples of where they have stayed and why it did or didn’t work out for them at specific areas. Finding out that there are a lot of factors that come into play. Who is the legal owner of the house? Who makes the decisions in the house? Is it a sole occupancy, couple occupancy or a family occupancy?

I’ve also used this system to decide where to ballot for a BTO. Especially as a single who is vying for the always oversubscribed 2-room flats. Glad to say I’ve managed to get one at a Prime area, with an application rate of 7.4. Prior to this, I also tried different zonings in different areas of Singapore. Not just to experiment but so that ‘they’ can guide me into where I should really be staying at. This will be a topic by itself another time. But even the exact time (to the minute) I applied for the ballot came into play. Using western astrology, specifically Electional Astrology.

Apart from daily meditations and clearing the mind, you could say having a Mercury in Virgo (part of a stellium) exactly trine Saturn Retrograde in Capricorn (also part of a stellium) made discovering this Residential Site Selection possible, along with a few other birth chart significations.

The biggest purchase of your life shouldn’t be a wrong one.

How do I know this system works? I’m just going to speak about one example, but ultimately buying a house in Singapore isn’t a small decision. It’s a 6 to 7 figure purchase, probably the biggest purchase of your life. Would you want to spend 6 to 7 figures on a ‘wrong’ house?

Even when renting a house in Singapore, especially if it’s work related, it’s best to know where is most beneficial for you. To ensure that your stay here will be smooth and it contributes positively to your career. Yes, that may even mean staying further away from your workplace. Would you want to uproot your life in your home country to work here in Singapore, only to find out the area you’re staying at is actually amplifying your struggles?

Here’s one example.

I’m going to use my parents as one example to prove this system since they have one of the more diverse residential history. They have stayed in 5 different places, ranging from HDB flats to landed property, and in 3 different astrological zonings. The details listed below are based off of a couple occupancy reading. Especially since they are the legal owners of the houses they have stayed in.

1979 to 1986 – Ang Mo Kio (HDB – 4-Room Flat)
1986 to 1991 – Hougang (HDB – Executive Maisonette)
1991 to 1995 – Toho Garden (Private – Condo)
1995 to 2011 – Jalan Kayu (Private – Landed/Terrace)
2011 to current – Yishun (HDB – Jumbo Flat)

1979 to 1995

Ruler – Venus in Taurus
For them, the specific blocks and areas where they stayed in Ang Mo Kio, Hougang, Toho Garden (Yio Chu Kang), all had Venus in Taurus as their ruler. Venus is domicile in Taurus, speaking of flourishing relationships, stable love, devoted, practical, slow but steady growth. Taurus in a modern context of astrology also rules pro-creation, and with Venus here, it’s not a surprise that me and my siblings were all conceived during this period. Taurus is also about building steady wealth, long term growth potential. This period spurred our family to move to a landed home. These areas were very good for them.

1995 to 2011

Ruler – Jupiter in Gemini
The specific landed house in Jalan Kayu had Jupiter in Gemini as its ruler and it’s considered detrimental. Disregarding the fact that ‘upgrading’ to a landed home already meant spending more. It ruling their finances also spoke of excessive spending and continuous outflow of cash in a negative way. Especially if too curious about all the possibilities, or stuck with the dream of gaining more wealth. Living in this area will enforce those scenarios. Constrict their mindset (and life) to a phrase of, ‘money is never enough’, in a negative way. This area is not good for them.

2011 to Current

Ruler – Uranus in Cancer
Even before moving into this jumbo flat in Yishun, they consulted a geomancer to see if it was good for the 5 of us. Uranus rules Aquarius, bringing in knowledge that isn’t commonly known. Cancer rules the home. Is astrology not already linking up? When you couple this with the aspects, it borrows energy from their Venus in Taurus along with other aspects that speak of harmonious living. This area is relatively okay for them but expect unforeseen events to occur.

Moving Forward For Them..

As a couple however, they are actually supposed to be staying in the southern area of Singapore for maximum growth. But when you take their age into consideration and retiree lifestyle, priorities of health and travels will be more important to them. So it may not be ideal to move to the southern area unless they are keen to work on further growth in this lifetime.

Apart from the above, there’s also an individual analysis. Even though they are staying together, finding an area that suits them both individually and as a couple is beneficial and maximises the upside, avoiding potential downsides that may be caused by one individual.

The couple occupancy analysis will still be prioritised with the individual analysis supporting it. All of these are still Level One of western astrology’s residential site selection. While I’m quite keen to speak about Level Two, I shall only do so when there are enough supporting documents that speak of the workings of it.

Along with other chart examples, which I may disclose in future, I’m certain this system works. I’m currently only doing this reading for those residing in Singapore, with plans of offering it up to various countries that need a localised site selection.
