11 January 2025 marked the shift of the lunar nodes transit from Aries/Libra to Pisces/Virgo. The north node is now in Pisces while the South Node is now in Virgo. They typically stay about 18 months in a sign, shifting only to Aquarius/Leo on 27 July 2026.
Lunar nodes are not planets but points calculated with your Sun, Moon and Rising placements.
North Node = Where you’re steered towards, for growth.
South Node = What you’ve been comfortable doing, or have done in the past.
The past 18 months (2023-2025)
On 17th July 2023, the lunar nodes went into Aries and Libra. This placement spoke of 1.5 years of disrupting ‘balance’. For every imbalance that went out of place or got pushed too far, people were taking action and asserting themselves more.
North Node in Aries = Taking action towards your own desires and well-being even if it means going against others
South Node in Libra = Wanting to maintain peace and harmony towards everything. Even if you’re giving yourself away too much or was at a disadvantage
During this period, there were also political events that happened. When the peace was ‘disturbed’, those who were once amiable, were more forthright in what they needed to do to stand their ground. Whether it’s standing up in parliament, not surrendering to ‘more powerful forces’ or building up their national defence systems, or retaliation.
Individually, we may have been more forward with our actions, no longer keeping the balance around our environments and people-pleasing. It wasn’t about maintaining status quo regarding our relationships with others, especially when one was at a disadvantage. We needed to be more authentic with ourselves.
The next 18 months (2025-2026)
On 11th January 2025, the nodes transited into Pisces and Virgo.
North Node in Pisces = Surrendering to unseen forces, universal wisdom and letting things be. Not controlling every outcome but moving with the flow of life itself
South Node in Virgo = Wanting to control everything, having a routine and strictly sticking to it. Organising and managing everything to the smallest of detail
On a collective level, we are called towards spirituality, being involved with it on some level and understanding life apart from our daily routines. This could be meditating, going for more retreats or mindfulness activities or even connecting more with nature. Not just spiritually, but also tapping more into our intuitive and creative side. Feelings and emotions will be prioritised over logic and reason.
We are also pushed towards transcending limitations that we have set for ourselves in our lives. This could happen in the form of certain crisis or challenges. As much as we have ‘planned’ to a certain extent, they have shown themselves in a different manner. Causing us to realise that as much as we prepare for something, the universe has different plans for us. Just remember that everything happens to teach us something, that was once restricting us from further growth.
Many will seek or question their true purpose in their lives, disengaging from their physical. Whilst still very much ‘functioning’ in their day to day lives, at the back of their mind questioning their life. On a negative note, we may see more resorting to self-undoing. Prone to falling to addiction, to escape the disillusionment they’re facing.
How the lunar nodes transit will affect you based on your rising sign
Aries Rising
The north node is in your 12th house while the south node is in your 6th house. As much as you plan for things in your daily life, do not be overly attached to the desired outcome. There could be things you haven’t anticipated that will arise. Showing you a different path that better aligns with what you truly need to learn about or be doing instead. This could also be diving into your subconscious more. Or taking a step back from your physical reality and mundane routines from time to time. To question what it really is that your soul desires in this life.
Taurus Rising
The north node is in your 11th house, while the south node is in your 5th house. This speaks about a time of being more easy going with your friendships. Allowing them to form naturally instead of being closed off and stubborn about new connections or experiences. May also speak about a time where the focus would be towards group activities that benefit the collective whole or friend group instead of focusing on what you want to do. Romantic relationships formed during this period may potentially be more karmic in nature. To allow things to unfold naturally, to learn whatever it is that you need to learn from the other.
Gemini Rising
The north node is in your 10th house, while the south node is in your 4th house. You may be drawn towards your daily life at home or with your parents, or focusing on your home during this period. What you should be doing instead, is focusing more on your career or achieving your highest self. Following the plans that naturally present themselves to you. Not to retreat back into the comfort of your home, or comfort or what you’ve been used to. Try new things and ways of doing things even if it’s beyond your own personal logic or comfort.
Cancer Rising
The north node is in your 9th house, while the south node is in your 3rd house. This may be a crucial time for you to expand your view of your world through religion, metaphysics, philosophy or even pursuing further education. Learning about the world or of things beyond your current understanding. That will not only expand your horizons but help you in every aspect of your life. Even if it’s not learning per se, going overseas, far away from your home country will help a lot. Tap into that intuitive side more and you’d be able to see everything in a new or ‘brighter’ light. Do not be stuck in your own individual ideas or beliefs that is only limiting.
Leo Rising
The north node is in your 8th house, while the south node is in your 2nd house. While you may be quite strict with your inner values about things being done a certain way, this period pushes you to allow yourself to grow more towards expansion. This could even be a result from certain losses that you face, that make you question your own life and how you can ‘evolve’. Could also speak about material possessions where your inner values are linked with the amount you have accumulated, always feeling like there’s never enough. Or even potentially having your finances tied or dependent on your spouse or others. Take this opportunity to grow, learn and allow nature to take its course, for everything is a lesson to learn from.
Virgo Rising
The north node is in your 7th house, while the south node is in your 1st house. This speaks about a time of not being so critical about yourself and your view of the world, with a focus on your relationships with others and more specifically your spouse. If single, it’s about building new partnerships or forming closer 1-1 relationships, not having your own judgement placed upon it. It’s a good time to reflect on how you are limiting certain areas of your own life, and to allow others to show you a different way of doing things, even if it’s beyond your own logic and reason. Be open to learning about new things from others.
Libra Rising
The north node is in your 6th house, while the south node is in your 12th house. It’s a good time to use your creativity or tap more into your intuition, incorporating it into your daily routines. This could be going for yoga, meditating, or infusing some sort of mindfulness into your everyday life. Be in a space of letting things flow naturally and not in a space of self-undoing, or of being critical of yourself. Understand that not everything needs to be perfect and to allow things that happen to teach you the art of letting go, especially when working with others at your workplace or in your everyday life. Do not fall into self-undoing actions.
Scorpio Rising
The north node is in your 5th house, while the south node is in your 11th house. Taking up new hobbies would help tremendously during this period. Whether it’s connecting more with nature, meditating, diving into mystical activities or even just more creative hobbies like painting or pottery making. Any potential romantic interests would also be quite fated during this period. While you’re generally quite critical of your social circle, this is a time to not focus so much on the bad, but rather the good, and generally to let loose, enjoy and express yourselves more.
Sagittarius Rising
The north node is in your 4th house, while the south node is in your 10th house. Family, parents and home affairs are of more importance during this period. Focusing on your career and highest self will still be needed, but priority should be given to family whenever it’s possible. This could also be about forming an intuitive foundation, connecting more with what you truly need or find important in your own life, for yourself, before reaching out or attaining your highest self. Find that inner peace and inner security, whether it’s related to understanding the world, deeper family connections or what you need to feel at ‘home’.
Capricorn Rising
The north node is in your 3rd house, while the south node is in your 9th house. You may already be involved in higher learning, religiousness, philosophical/metaphysical studies or the exact opposite where you’re critical of everything mentioned and are more of an atheist of sorts. If a believer, this period is pushing you to firm up your beliefs and to understand that there’s no singular truth. There’s no need to be critical of another belief just cause your belief is different, and to be able to communicate your belief freely. If a non-believer, an atheist so to speak, there will be certain situations you’ll be involved in, potentially where you’re meeting others, communicating in some way, where you’re going to question the true reality of life, some form of disillusionment.
Aquarius Rising
The north node is in your 2nd house, while the south node is in your 8th house. There’ll be a focus on your self-worth and your finances. Potentially speaking about financial growth, new ways of accumulating wealth or an inner knowing that whilst material wealth is important, there’s also immaterial wealth. You may be pushed to tap more into the inner you and how you relate to yourself. You could also be steered away from some sort of servitude regarding shared finances with others. What previously seems to work, may be pushed towards a different direction.
Pisces Rising
The north node is in your 1st house, while the south node is in your 7th house. This is a crucial time for you. There’ll be a focus on your self, and your view of the world, affecting all other areas of your life. It’s a time to focus and prioritise yourself. That ever changing persona that you have will evolve again and push you to develop new ways of being that aligns with your highest self. This could even mean cutting off others who may have been limiting you to certain beliefs or growth. Be open to new experiences, tap into your intuitive and creative side, and be prepared for new developments in your life.
