Mercury is the planet of communication, messenger of god in astrology. There are also other significations of mercury but two of the main significations of Mercury is communication and intellect. Gemini Mercury
Mercury has natural rulership in Gemini. Domicile, this is considered a very good placement if you have your Mercury in Gemini. Communication is key to you, even possibly excelling in writing, music or creativity. Reason being you have a lot of different thoughts. You are generally curious in nature, with a liking to engage in conversations to exchange information. Knowledge to you is important. Virgo Mercury
Mercury also has natural rulership in Virgo, with an added exaltation. What this means is that Mercury is able to express itself very well with Virgo’s nature. Some of the key traits are being analytical and practical. You are able to communicate effectively and break down information to concise knowledge that is necessary. Organisational skills are second nature to you. All if not most of you also have an acute attention to detail, and keen observational skills. You value artistic and and creative abilities over analytical and practical thinking. As with sagittarius, your thoughts are all over the place and operate in a more abstract manner.
